Brag book, achievements file, boss babe notes…

Whatever you call it, you need to track your impact.

Do you have an achievements file?

If you do great work, but forget to track it, you're not alone.

Almost every time I’m brought in to write an award nomination or executive profile, the same thing happens.

The client has done incredible, impactful, game-changing work.

But they didn’t keep a record of it.

So we’re piecing together wins from old emails, Slack messages and half-remembered milestones.

It slows everything down. And it makes it harder to tell a clear, compelling story.

That’s why I recommend starting an achievements file.

Just one doc or folder where you stash all the receipts.

Think of it as your personal ROI tracker.

You can pull from it when it’s time to:
-Prep for a performance review
-Update your resume or LinkedIn
-Write a speaker or leadership bio
-Make a case for a promotion or raise
-Apply for fellowships, board roles, or awards
-Reflect on your progress and impact

You're doing incredible work. Don’t let it disappear.
