My 2022 reading list

The 10 best books I read this year plus 75 others

I suppose if I had to put it into words, reading is my purest pleasure. It’s something I do just for me, with no complicated feelings or agenda attached.

Of course I also enjoy being a mom, drinking a nice glass of wine, hiking, yoga, etc., but they all cost me something—the ability to live without a small person coughing directly into my eye, for example.

A good book makes me happy and needs nothing from me.

This year I set a goal of reading 85 books. I hit my goal, plus a few I didn’t finish, which I won’t list here.
